Streamlining Efficiency: Reducing Document Overload
Overview
IT2G provides a wide range of tailored IT solutions for government agencies and enterprises across various industries. The company specializes in end-to-end software and infrastructure project implementation for large government clients, including refactoring, support, and continuous development of existing systems.
Work Summary
During my time at IT2G, I had the chance to dive into some really interesting projects that helped me grow both professionally and personally. This experience allowed me to hone my skills working on complicated interfaces in a fast-paced product team environment, where I collaborated closely with cross-functional teams, including designers, analysts, product managers, and engineers.

Pain Points
●
Bureaucratic Hurdles:
Complex decision-making, lengthy approval cycles for minor changes, and navigating multiple layers of hierarchy for project approvals.
●
Confidentiality Concerns:
To maintain confidentiality, I did not have direct access to the prospective audience — government officials. Instead, I worked closely with our analysts at every stage, leveraging their regular feedback from the audience to inform and refine the design process. I also frequently consulted with the engineering team to gain a clear understanding of system requirements and constraints.
●
Change Management:
Resistance to process changes, overcoming inertia in government structures, and ensuring alignment with existing procedures and legacy systems.
Key Projects
Citizen Inquiry Management System
The intelligent solution streamlines the processing of citizens' appeals across various institutions, ensuring efficiency, faster response times, and greater accuracy. Its intuitive interface, designed for managers and executors, simplifies storing and accessing applicant data and appeal history.
Role
UX/UI Designer
Services
UX/UI, Prototyping, Design System
About the Project
The intergovernmental agency launched a comprehensive overhaul of its outdated and inefficient system. Before the revamp, users faced frustrations such as time-consuming navigation through nested structures, clunky screen layouts, and unclear tools and features.
The updated system resolved these issues by automating request handling from various sources, including personal submissions. It streamlined request registration using intelligent text recognition, task creation for processing, draft response preparation, and final response delivery to citizens.
Impact and Outcome
Played a significant role in developing a user-friendly interface from the ground up, collaborating with the team lead, analysts, and two other designers. Initiated the creation of a design system and guidelines, ensuring its comprehensive scope and impact.
Multifunctional Migration Center
The primary service offered by the Moscow City Government’s State Budgetary Institution, the *Multifunctional Migration Center*, is issuing work patents to foreign citizens arriving in the Russian capital from visa-free countries.
Role
Senior UX/UI Designer
Services
UX/UI, Prototyping, Design System
Problem Space
Employees at migration centers faced significant challenges due to manual paperwork and outdated systems, leading to slow processing, increased workloads, and frustration. Fragmented systems hindered access to information, while time-consuming tasks like data entry caused delays and errors.
Visitors, on the other hand, struggled with unclear requirements, long wait times, and the inability to track application statuses.
Goal
Develop a single-window system designed to centralize the acceptance of documents from service applicants, track compliance with document preparation deadlines, and facilitate the issuance of completed documents.
Product Architecture
Depending on the user role and functionality, we divided the entire product into four main screens:
1
Login and Workplace Selection
Users log in with their credentials and select their workplace from a list. This ensures access to the correct environment with role-specific functionalities, maintaining security and personalization.
2
Migration Specialist Workplace
Receiving documents from applicants, registering foreign citizens, issuing temporary residence permits, and processing residence permits.
3
Translator Workplace
Translation of documents from a foreign language
4
Notary Workplace
Notarization of translations
During the project, two other designers and I completely designed the entire service. It resulted in approximately a hundred screens (not counting their individual states)
Impact & Outcome
As a Senior Designer, I led the interface design development for the Multifunctional Migration Center, driving the project from concept to execution. Working in close collaboration with analysts and the engineering team, I crafted the application’s design vision, delivered a suite of interactive prototypes to validate solutions, and implemented a robust design system. This system streamlined the application’s timely launch, enabled the smooth incorporation of new features, and allowed for rapid onboarding of additional designers. In the project’s later phases, I also mentored and supervised two junior designers, ensuring consistent quality and fostering their professional growth.
